Dr. Maureen Hughes is a highly educated person that has had a seemingly circuitous career and interest path which has included art, design, theater, choir, biological research, biotechnology sales, yoga, Ayurveda, massage, and other healing disciplines. She is a highly sensitive and observant person, and currently helps those in physical and emotional pain as a Lay-Minister in the NAIC. She has practiced SomaVeda Traditional and Indigenous Therapies for 8 years full time, and taught for 7 years, which includes Thai Yoga Massage Therapy, aka Nuad Boran, the old way of healing with the hands. She also integrates nutritional guidance and supplementation, and some emotional healing techniques such as Tapping, and The Six Steps to Personal Freedom developed by Diederik Wolsak (also known as Choose Again). She actively instructs 4 yoga classes per week in person and online, with an online platform and app on the way. She also helps support the legalization of psychedelics as a pathway to healing.

She believes that everything is Energy, and the basis of that is Love. She is also a founding investor in Emergent Wellness, and is a practitioner on their platform.
